A double whammy for The Three Acres

New_Outside.jpg

26 June 2017

We’re delighted to be shortlisted for not one but two awards!

The first is the ‘Welcome to Yorkshire’ award for the ‘inn and restaurant with rooms’ category.

The Welcome to Yorkshire White Rose Awards is the largest celebration of tourism excellence in the UK. The awards recognise and reward the very best of the industry throughout Yorkshire.

The Three Acres has made it through the first stage of the rigorous and independent judging process to the final, with the winner announced on 21 November 2017.

We have also made it through to the shortlist of the ‘Yorkshire’s favourite pub’ award from Welcome to Yorkshire and in association with the Yorkshire Post, who invited readers and social media followers to vote. The Three Acres has been voted as one of the top 15 pubs and will feature in the 2017 Welcome to Yorkshire Ale Trail. The overall winner is announced on 11 July at The Great Yorkshire Show.

Thank you to the team and our customers for their continued support.

Wish us luck!

Supporting the Stroke Association

05 December 2016

In 2017 we’ll be supporting the Stroke Association as our chosen charity for the year. A cause close to our hearts, we highly value the worthy work they do to change the world for people affected by stroke. This includes the funding of important research to improve treatment and help save lives, to support those affected and to educate on the signs of stroke and the need for fast emergency action.

Our series of Winemaker Dinners in the New Year marks the first of our charity events in support of this amazing charity.

We encourage our wine-loving friends to discover new favourites at these wonderfully entertaining evenings. Further details on these events coming soon.

Michelin Guide listing retained for another year

10 October 2016

The 3 Acres has once again been listed in the highly esteemed Michelin Guide for 2017. As one of only three restaurants in Huddersfield listed, we are proud to retain the accolade once more.

The Guide is compiled by a team of professional inspectors who anonymously visit establishments across the UK to independently research restaurants and hotels, only those that are highly recommended are featured.

The inspector commented: “A traditional stone inn on top of the moors, with a maze of charmingly cluttered low-beamed dining rooms. Choose from a large, traditional menu which features plenty of steak and rotisserie dishes. Bedrooms are warmly decorated; those in the adjacent cottages are the most modern and also the most peaceful”.

Tom Truelove comments: “The 3 Acres has featured in the Guide for a number of years and has a consistently strong reputation in the area for delicious food and first class service. Each member of the team understands how important their role is to ensure we maintain this position, therefore we’re delighted to be listed once again as recognition for the whole team for their exceptional work across the restaurant and hotel”.
