The Three Acres awarded AA five silver stars and AA Rosette

We’re delighted to share that The Three Acres has been awarded an AA five silver stars rating recognising our exceptional standards of hospitality, service, accommodation and overall guest experience.

Our restaurant has also been awarded an AA Rosette, recognising food that stands out locally and is prepared with care and skill using quality ingredients.

The rating comes after an anonymous visit and overnight stay by an AA inspector, whose online overview on the AA website notes The Three Acres is “ideal for relaxed escapes in the Pennine countryside” and our “fifteen bedrooms have been tastefully redesigned featuring stylish and characterful décor.
Our star rating was reached by assessment of three elements:

  • Overall Quality
  • Critical Areas (cleanliness, hospitality, bedrooms, bathrooms and breakfast)
  • Provision of services & facilities. (must provide all services and facilities for Guest Accommodation minimum entry (All Star Ratings) and all three elements must be met to achieve a rating.

Inspector’s Notes

“It was a pleasure to discover The Three Acres following its reopening after the devastating fire a few years ago, and to see the significant reinvestment made into the business since. The property is stylish, characterful and has a strong sense of identity. Service & hospitality standards were positive overall, with a friendly and attentive team who created a pleasant experience.

“Housekeeping standards were generally very good throughout. Restaurant spaces are particularly well presented, creating a warm, comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The accommodation offering is of an excellent standard, with spacious, comfortable bedrooms featuring coordinated décor and quality appointments. Bathrooms were equally well presented with excellent Chapter toiletries.

“The food offering proved a real strength of the operation. Dinner showed a clear culinary identity with well-constructed dishes and very good execution throughout, in line with One AA Rosette expectations, which is therefore achieved.

“Breakfast food quality was also very good. As a result of this visit, The Three Acres is awarded an AA Five Silver Stars rating as a Restaurant with Rooms. Congratulations!”

Tom Truelove, owner at The Three Acres, said: “Receiving an AA five silver star rating and an AA Rosette for our restaurant is an incredibly proud moment. We have always believed in creating an experience that combines exceptional food with genuine, Yorkshire hospitality and beautiful surroundings, and to see that now recognised at the highest level means a huge amount to us.

“After the challenges of the past two years, this recognition is a testament to the passion, resilience and dedication of our entire team, and is the perfect way to celebrate a successful first year back in business.”
