Hi everyone, Tom & Lauren here.

We want to start this month’s update by saying a sincere thank you for all the lovely comments and messages of encouragement that we’ve received since we shared our first update in July.

Many of you replied to our email newsletter with lovely words of support which always spur us on as we work towards welcoming you back to the Acres.

So, what’s been happening since you last heard from us?

We’re delighted to say that things have really picked up pace, and each day we’re seeing new corners of the building slowly beginning to take shape.

We have appointed Huddersfield-based Radcliffe Construction as our Principal Contractor, and you can imagine how pleased we were to receive our programmed schedule of works from them – which really brought the exciting but hard work that lies ahead of us to life.

Radcliffe’s officially started work on site last week, and it’s been wonderful to see our beautiful building full of hustle and bustle once again after so many months of feeling rather quiet! As a result of the fire, we lost the entire roof space over the kitchen. Radcliffe’s have projected a 16-week programme for installing the new roof, at which point the building will be water tight, and work can commence inside. We’ll keep you up speed with work as it progresses and will be sharing exciting milestones in the journey on our social channels, so make sure you’re following us on Instagram, Linkedin, and Facebook.

Detailed conversations with our interior design team have also been happening, and it’s been very exciting and encouraging to begin to see our ideas and schemes for the 8 bedrooms that we are redesigning come to fruition. We’ll be sharing more on our interior design plans in due course (look out for a video with more details coming soon),  but think antiques, luxurious soft furnishings, natural materials and plush headboards in rich fabrics. We think you’re going to love what we’ve got in store.

We’ve also had lots of questions about weddings, gift vouchers, and private events, so we just wanted to share some FAQs to keep you up to speed:

Are you currently taking wedding bookings?

Yes, absolutely! We are taking bookings for both indoor and outdoor weddings from June 2025 onwards. In fact, we can’t wait for you to see our beautifully redesigned wedding space, which will cater for up to 100 seated indoor guests. If you would like to arrange a meeting to discuss your wedding at The 3 Acres, or come and see the space, kindly email our events manager, Laura, on events@3acres.com and she will be delighted to help you.

I have a gift voucher for The 3 Acres. Can I still use it?

Yes, of course! All gift vouchers purchased before the fire will be redeemable for a full 12 months from the date of our reopening (date to be confirmed) – so there’s plenty of time for you to use your voucher and join us when we reopen!

However, if you would rather have a refund, please kindly email accounts@3acres.com and will be more than happy to arrange that for you.

Are you still booking private and corporate events?

We would love to welcome you to The 3 Acres for your private or corporate event, and we’re taking bookings for these from June 2025 onwards.
