Frequently Asked Questions
Here’s a few of the questions we’re regularly asked.
Thank you very much for your interest in dining with us on Christmas Day. This is a particularly special occasion at The 3 Acres, and over the years it has become a tradition for many of our longstanding guests, who then tend to rebook for the following year while still with us on the day. As a result, we very rarely have availability to offer more widely.
We’re often asked about a waiting or reserve list, but due to the nature of how Christmas Day is booked and rebooked, we don’t operate one. Should anything unexpectedly become available, it is offered directly and discreetly to guests with a long-standing history with us.
We would, however, be delighted to welcome you on Christmas Eve or Boxing Day, when we offer a similarly festive and memorable experience. If either of these dates might work for you, please don’t hesitate to book online.
Dogs are welcome in the outdoor area but unfortunately (as much as we love them!), we can’t allow them in any part of the restaurant, bar, or bedrooms.
You are welcome to redeem a gift voucher against an overnight stay at The 3 Acres. Please redeem your voucher upon check-out where our team will deduct it from your balance due.
We have three ground floor accessible bedrooms. If you are booking to stay with us and require an accessible room, please kindly telephone us on 01484 602606 before booking and our team will be happy to help you. There is wheelchair access into our main restaurant. Please call our team ahead of your visit with any other accessibility requests and they will be happy to help you.
Check-in is at 3pm, with check-out by 11am.
Of course! Our bar is open for drinks from 12noon every day until close.
EV charging is available for patrons at an additional rate.
Your final restaurant bill we be subject to a discretionary 10% service charge.
Our outdoor tables are for drinks only, and food upon request subject to how busy we are. Outdoor tables are not bookable.
The Three Acres welcomes arrivals by helicopter. However, prior permission is recommended as the available landing site is often used for wedding marquees.
Standing within the shadow of the Emely Moor TV transmitter, the landing site is a gently sloping short grass lawn adjacent to the car park with useable size of 200 x 350 ft, surrounded by low walls and hedgerow, the centre of which is located at:
53˚ 36’ 33” N
1˚ 40’ 30” W
Care should be taken on approach as the ground has significant relief in parts, particularly towards the transmitter. The eastern boundary of the lawn abuts a relatively busy public road. However, depending upon wind direction, a number of surrounding fields are suitable for approach before air taxi to the landing site.
Situated just south of the Leeds Bradford airport class d zone boundary, a flight information service is generally available, and recommended, from Leeds approach on 123.75
